The Bassin Annecy Aravis Rugby (BAAR) perfectly embodies the spirit of collaboration and excellence that characterizes our territory. Born in 2017 from the will of the clubs US Annecy, RC Annecy le Vieux, and RC Thônes Aravis to allow young girls and boys from the M16, M19, Cadettes, and Senior Women's categories to practice rugby together, this associative cooperation, officially created in June 2022, has established itself as a model of territorial sports development.

In 2025, this dynamic takes concrete form through an ambitious restructuring: the founding associations are renaming themselves BAAR Annecy, BAAR Annecy-le-Vieux, and BAAR Thônes, demonstrating a unified vision for rugby in the Annecy basin.

Results That Make the Territory Proud

The past season was marked by remarkable performances that illustrate the relevance of this collaborative approach. BAAR Annecy Rugby occupies first place in Fédérale 2 - Pool 2 - Qualification with 101 points in 22 matches played (21 victories, 0 draws, 1 defeat), an exceptional record that testifies to the sporting excellence achieved by the first team.

This championship-leading performance and promotion to Fédérale 1 is accompanied by success in youth categories. BAAR has already experienced victories such as the Ligue AURA U16 championship in 2019 and the Alps championship in 2022, confirming the quality of training provided within this structure, which brings together approximately 120 players.

Meanwhile, BAAR Annecy le Vieux plays in Fédérale 3 - Pool 4 and occupies 3rd place with 58 points in 18 matches (12 victories, 0 draws, 6 defeats), demonstrating the depth and quality of the overall sporting project.
